Wines
Prior to the 1906 earthquake, several local wine companies and wineries produced and bottled wine in what is now San Francisco's SOMA district. After the earthquake destroyed their production facilities, these wineries relocated to Sonoma and Napa Valleys. Led by Aussie winemaker Daryl Groom, Foggy Bridge Winery seeks to bring winemaking back to its urban roots in San Francisco.
Foggy Bridge will offer a four-tiered winemaking program that reflects the winery's location as the gateway to California's premier growing regions. Foggy Bridge Winery is currently partnering with a select group of wineries and vineyards in California to create a range of wines reflective of each distinct growing region. The working winery will be fully operational beginning with the 2009 harvest, at which time locals can view the winemaking process first-hand.
At Foggy Bridge Winery, Daryl brings his worldwide winemaking experience to the diverse Foggy Bridge portfolio, which includes the following tiers:
G.E.O.
These wines, named G.E.O. (Green. Earth. Origin.), are produced from Foggy Bridge's own San Francisco Bay vineyard located in the Livermore Valley. Currently organically farmed, this vineyard will be certified organic by 2010. Wines will include a Chardonnay, Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Classic
Foggy Bridge is partnering with a select group of wineries to create wines reflective of California's unique winegrowing regions. The Classic tier features noble varieties from distinctive California appellations, including a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Bien Nacido Vineyards Santa Maria Pinot Noir, and Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel.
Tradewinds
The Tradewinds line showcases exciting, limited production wines that have blown into the Bay from exotic locales across California and beyond. These "discovery" wines are designed to be seasonal and will rotate frequently. Try the Bordeaux-style blend from Mendocino's Yorkville Highlands and Riesling from Washington.
Reserve
The crown of the Foggy Bridge portfolio, the Reserve line is extremely limited in production and will epitomize Winemaker Daryl Groom's talents. Wines will include a Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Rochioli-Allen Vineyards Pinot Noir and Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Holiday Gift Packs
Foggy Bridge is offering gift packs and flights for the holidays. Your wines will be beautifully packaged for holiday giving in our sleek black boxes tied with International Oragne ribbon, the color of the Golden Gate Bridge, the most recognized San Francisco icon.
